A Letter from Andy and Sara
The foundation is named after Sebastian, who received a life-altering diagnosis on August 16th, 2022 at the age of 3. A large tumor was found, brain surgery was performed, and after a few weeks of rehab, we had our answer: a rare form of brain cancer, CNS Neuroblastoma. He would need high dose chemotherapy to ensure the cancer never returned. After a very long year of hospital stays, Sebi has completed treatment in June 2023, and has had no evidence of disease on every scan. The impact of cancer does not stop when there is no longer evidence of disease. It continues to impact the family and child throughout life.

Our experience has called us to this path of service to help other local families fighting childhood cancer; to offer financial assistance, emotional support and build a community to support each other on this lifelong journey, and draw strength from one another in order to make the impact of this diagnosis a little easier. We believe the best way for families to support their child through their journey is to be present every step of the way. There is a need to relieve the responsibilities of life that do not pause because of a cancer diagnosis.
Our goal is to connect directly with newly diagnosed families to build relationships and provide a supportive community. Your sponsorship to The Sebistrong Foundation will be used to fund hospital care packages, offer financial assistance, deliver Warrior Wagons and provide meals during hospital stays, so families can focus on the health of their child.
